Graphics on Facebook, why are their sizes so important?
It is extremely important to understand Facebook's guidelines for posting images, because if the graphic does not meet the requirements of the platform, all the work put into editing and creating it can be ruined by the platform's requirements. None of us wants our efforts to be wasted, so it is worth familiarizing yourself with the individual dimensions that Facebook expects from us. If we do not follow the instructions, the graphic may be cut off in a significant place or lose its aesthetic. It is also worth considering that some recipients check our messages on different devices, both on desktop computers and smartphones.

The graphic size must be 800 pixels (800x800) or 900x900 pixels.

On Facebook, an image received on computers is displayed in dimensions of 170 x 170 pixels, on smartphones - as a 128 x 128 pixel graphic.

When creating a wallpaper, keep in mind that there is a significant difference in how photos are displayed depending on the device. A computer displays an image with dimensions of 820 x 312 pixels, while smartphones display images with dimensions of 640 x 360 pixels.

According to Facebook, the background photo should be at least 720 pixels wide for the fastest loading speed. The suggested image is a file size of 851x315 pixels and up to 100 KB in size.

Our suggested size: 820x462px. An important tip, despite choosing the right size, is to use graphics with the most important elements in the center, so as not to lose the most important graphic elements of the image when loading.

Here we have an example of difficulties associated with the own configuration of the image, because after uploading a graphic as the background of a Facebook group, it is automatically framed, and we cannot adjust the graphics to our needs in other cases. A larger part of the graphics will be displayed on the smartphone than on the monitor, where it will be partially connected, so it is worth having it in mind when creating the image. The maximum dimensions are 820 x 426 pixels.
