Concrete mixer is one of the most commonly used mechanical equipment in the construction industry. Its main function is to mix cement, sand, aggregate and water into concrete mixture. It consists of mixing drum, feeding and discharging mechanism, water supply system, drive mechanism, transmission mechanism, frame and support device.

1. Classification of concrete mixer
Depending on the nature of the work, it is divided into interval (batch) and continuous type, by mixing principle - self-draining and forced type, by installation method - fixed and mobile brazil number data type, by unloading method - dump type and non-dump type, by the structure of the mixing drum - pear-shaped, drum, double cone, disc vertical shaft and round trough horizontal shaft.

Self-draining concrete mixer
It has a long history. Already at the beginning of the 20th century, drum concrete mixers powered by steam engines appeared. After the 1950s, dump concrete mixers with reverse discharge and tipping discharge, as well as separate drum concrete mixers, appeared and developed. On the inner wall of the mixing drum of the self-draining concrete mixer, radially arranged mixing blades are located. During operation, the mixing drum rotates around its horizontal axis, and the materials added to it are lifted to a certain height by the blades and then fall under their own weight. This repetitive movement ensures uniform mixing. The structure of the self-draining concrete mixer is simple, and it is usually used for mixing plastic concrete.
