Be brief and specific
We are reading more and more from our mobile phones, so emails should be short and easy to read. That's why:
Use few sentences in each one.
Separate them with white spaces to make reading easier.
Visually highlights the main ideas.
Oh, and try not to exceed three (short) paragraphs.
6. Take care of the tone
Just as I'm writing this article, I receive the coldest email I've ever received, from a movie theater ig data company, in response to a question I asked.
And it's not a rude email, far from it. It's just cold (in addition to containing 6 long paragraphs of text and arriving 15 days later).
The tone of your communication should be conversational. After all, your recipients gave you a vote of confidence when they gave you permission to send you emails. Mind you, I'm not saying you should talk like a teenager (unless that's your brand's style). Just remember that you're talking to people , and they should also feel like it's a real person talking to them.
Oh, and speaking of which, it is recommended that the sender be a person, not a brand.
Use only one idea per paragraph
