Opening many direct sales points and developing a franchise are two forms of expansion with different methods and objectives!
The biggest difference between the two expansion methods, however, is in the protagonists. If I want to open many stores without arguing or convincing lawyer data anyone, I do it with the employees, people who are satisfied with the salary.
On the contrary, in franchising development it is the franchisee who pays you to open!
With direct expansion, therefore, you will open as many stores as you have economic availability, with franchising development, instead, you will open as many points as you manage to involve valuable people.
