Wordfence website application firewallWordfence provides a website application firewall that monitors and blocks malicious website traffic. It is an application-level firewall, meaning it uses your server's resources to run.

This means that the firewall runs as a WordPress plugin, so WordPress must first be loaded before an attack can be blocked.
