There is also no way to add the URL to the image in your WordPress media library, so you will have to manually add the link every time you want to use it. In this case, you should use the plugin mentioned in Method 2 instead.

To add custom links using WordPress' built-in tools, simply create a new post or page, or edit an existing page where you want to create the gallery , then click the "+ Add Block" button.

If you want to upload new image files , select Uploads and then add the images you want.

Once the images are in your media library, select the Media Library tab. Then simply click on each image you want to add to the gallery.

When you are happy with your selection, simply click “Create a new gallery”.
