connected to fiber optics since 2017, but many municipal districts in the north of Kamchatka Krai will remain with satellite communications for a long time.

"With the advent of fiber-optic communication lines, a certain amount of satellite communication resources are freed up, but remote areas require more and more speed, and all the freed up resources are transferred there," said Vitaly Baturin.

In his opinion, the colombia mobile number database issue of using the freed-up satellite communications resource will move into the commercial sphere. "Due to the region's vastness and sparsely populated areas, we have a great need for mobile satellite communications. With the introduction of sanctions, foreign operators left, and services, residents and tourists need communications," he said.

Deputy Director General for the Development of Infocommunication Projects in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation of JSC Atomdata Roman Yakovlev noted that satellite communications are the main types of communications that can be quickly deployed and used. He said that both satellite communications and fiber-optic communication lines are planned for development in the Arctic Zone.

"The concept of communication development in this territory does not imply a bias towards a specific technology, but the choice of a specific technological solution to solve the corresponding problems. It is time for us to move from a technological stack to a client-centric one. The client is often not interested in when and what type of communication he uses, but just needs to get access," notes Roman Yakovlev. In his opinion, the emergence of fiber-optic communication lines, especially in hard-to-reach areas, will not be a killer application for satellite communications. "Satellite communications will develop, and its availability will be even better, including technical parameters and the level of availability of services," concluded Roman Yakovlev.

Pavel Martynov, Director of the Telecommunications and Communications Development Directorate at Gazpromneft Information and Technology Operator (Gazpromneft ITO), is confident that the arrival of fiber-optic communication lines will not affect the satellite communications segment in any way. "Moreover, the satellite segment will expand with the arrival of fiber-optic communication lines. The reason is that fiber-optic communication lines do not come by themselves, but also bring services. An increased number of services requires increased redundancy, which, especially in the Arctic zone, can only be provided with the help of a satellite," Pavel Martynov explained.
