Additional Provision 16 of Law 2/2014, of March 25, on the Action and the Foreign Service of the State indicates:
(…) those certified by the Language Interpretation Office of the Ministry of Foreign list of contact numbers in philippines Affairs and Cooperation, as well as those carried out by someone who holds the title of sworn translator-interpreter granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, will have this character.
The Language Interpretation Office periodically prepares and publishes a List of all Sworn Translators-Interpreters who have been appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, indicating the language or languages for which they have been authorized to translate and interpret.
To be a sworn translator, you must obtain a sworn translator-interpreter qualification , which is awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Without this qualification, you cannot work as a sworn translator.
To obtain the title, you must take one of the official exams that are held annually and meet a series of requirements:
Be of legal age, that is, be 18 years of age or older.
Have Spanish nationality or that of another Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area
The minor must have a degree in Graduate/Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, Technical Engineering, Technical Architecture or equivalent in Spain, or a foreign degree that has been approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
There is also the possibility of taking the exam for sworn translators of Catalonia, the Basque Country, Galicia and the Valencian Community for the languages of the respective Autonomous Communities.
The exam consists of 3 exercises (according to the last call):
The first exercise will be in Spanish, and will consist of 50 multiple choice questions (plus 5 reserve questions) of a grammatical and terminological nature.
The second exercise will consist of three tests : the first will consist of translating a general text into Spanish in the language in which the candidate is applying. The second will consist of translating a general text in Spanish into the language in which the candidate is applying. And the last test will consist of translating a legal or economic text into Spanish in the language in which the candidate is applying.
The third exercise is oral . It is a consecutive interpretation test and, if the court deems it appropriate, a dialogue with the candidate in the language in which he/she is taking the exam and/or in Spanish.

A sworn translator is responsible for translating documents into the official language and for certifying the accuracy and fidelity of the content. The translations of these professionals are official and are intended for public administrations. In other words, the sworn translator gives public faith before any public body.

The translation of these documents must be complete. Nothing can be removed or added. The order and format of the original document must be respected. In a sworn translation, what must always appear is the certification by means of the signature and stamp of the translator.
