Google has directly announced several times over the past year that this update is coming and that site owners should be prepared. Any time Google makes an official statement about an upcoming ranking factor or algorithm update, it’s a big event.

Keep in mind that, as Google states:

Indeed, a page cannot be user-friendly if its content is irrelevant.

There are many ranking factors that influence the overall search ranking of each page and website, but in this article we focus primarily on how web signals impact a website's success in search.

Study results
The results of the mobile and desktop URL analysis are detailed below.

Mobile and Computer
The main notable findings observed when comparing the computer and the mobile are as follows:

Nearly 84% of the CWVs of URLs that rank in the top 10 of the SERP in the US received either “Poor” or “Needs Improvement” scores. Google notes that pages that receive a “Good” score on Core Web Vitals achieve a good level of user experience and may receive a boost in the “page experience” component of ranking, provided that the other components of the page experience signal (HTTPS, mobile usability, etc.) are judged to be good.
The overall share of URLs with all metrics in the “Good” category is 16.2% for mobile and 34.70% for desktop.
The overall share of URLs with at least one “Needs Improvement” metric and all others having a “Good” score is 14.50% for mobile and 22.88% for desktop.
