The introduction of DAB

Nothing is changing as much as technology. In every area. + shows us that even the good old radio is undergoing a process of change. Just as analogue television sets no longer show pictures, our old radios, stereo systems and car radios will also eventually just produce noise if they are not DAB+ compatible. Converting a car in particular can be expensive.
But it is a fact: DAB+ has found its place in Europe and netherlands rcs data the time has come for us too when we no longer have a choice.
In contrast to the TV change from analogue to digital, the added value is of course not significant for many.
Let us hope that this will have some impact on media policy. The frequencies are no longer a precious commodity, the new system enables widespread use. New specialist stations can reach the public via DAB+. It would be nice to have a good easy listening station in the car. Quiet music, news. Like in the USA. With all due respect to the private stations: the presenters are trying hard and are making an effort. A lot of nonsense is being said and broadcast - including on SRF 1 and 3.
So let's take a positive approach to DAB+. I didn't need it either, but it was decided years ago and was pushed forward with huge sums of money by the SRG. Let's think about the new possibilities that the system offers. Perhaps in a few years we will be happy to have a larger selection and to be able to escape the familiar uniform offering of the private local stations. Because they all sound more or less the same.
