These stations would be at risk

Post by asimd23 »

In Switzerland, Goldbach markets not only the TV channels of the RTL Group and ProSiebenSat.1, but also a large number of private radio and TV channels that benefit directly or indirectly from the Billag fee through fee splitting. if the No Billag initiative were to be voted yes. Jürg Bachmann, Head of Public Affairs at Goldbach and vietnam rcs data President of the Association of Swiss Private Radios, is therefore also campaigning against the No Billag initiative. Even the SRG refers to this in an article in its members' magazine .

Tamedia has no scenario for a yes to "No Billag". Who would benefit from a yes vote is completely open and unpredictable. One thing is certain: approval of the initiative would bring enormous uncertainty for the media industry at the most inopportune time possible. "No Billag" was not an issue in the talks between Tamedia and Goldbach. The aim of Tamedia and Goldbach is to be able to offer advertising customers comprehensive solutions. This is of course a commercial strategy – but it also helps journalism at Tamedia.

Newspapers and magazines benefit from the Goldbach alliance

Google, Facebook, Twitter & Co. have long since generated more advertising revenue in Switzerland than Tamedia, Goldbach or the SRG. In competition with these international giants for advertising money, a Swiss media company only has a chance if it can offer a similarly good service.
