Layout with contrasting inserts

Post by zihadhosenjm40 »

Layout with offset (staggered)
This method is similar to brick laying – it looks very original, but it will not be appropriate in all rooms of the apartment (not recommended in small rooms, bathrooms and toilets). Both rectangular and square floor tiles are suitable for this layout.

Deck layout with one third offset
With this layout, the pattern is harmonious and neutral, since the transverse seams do not form straight dotted lines. The deck layout requires elements of exclusively rectangular shape.

Herringbone floor layout
This method resembles the "pattern" of the parquet. This is a classic way of laying long-shaped elements. Note that at the end of laying along the perimeter of the room, each tile will need to be cut at an angle of 45 degrees. In rectangular rooms, the "herringbone" pattern should go along the long wall of the room.

Modular layout
This layout can be used in both large and small rooms. Tiles of different formats and sizes are combined with each other into "modules", which are then duplicated in the installation over the entire area. Select combinations of all elements of the modular layout in advance to get an interesting pattern.

This option is preferable for large spaces. Here, the main background will be large elements, and the highlight will be small contrasting tile inserts. It is possible to use both rectangular and square shapes of different sizes, but the latter option is preferable.

Combined layout
Be bold, come up with your own unique layout. Combine colors, shapes and even textures. The main thing is not to make a mistake in the calculations, or better yet, show them to the sellers, let them check them again. Let your pattern be unique. And as plastic surgeons say: "in extreme cases, the gender can always be changed."

Correct floor marking
Basic rules of marking:

In the most visible places and at the thresholds there should be a whole element,
The layout should start from the marked singapore mobile database center,
After marking, lay out the real tiles on the floor. Assess how they will look in reality and, if you don’t like something, you can immediately redo the markings.
Most likely, you have a room with far from ideal proportions: the walls are not perfectly parallel to each other, the angles are far from right angles (90 degrees), it is even possible that the room has more than 4 walls (a room of complex shape). Do not worry, there are almost no floors where an even number of elements would lie along the length and width and where no trimming or special marking would be needed. Therefore, we will continue to work in real life conditions.
