Marketo is the most user-friendly. LoopFuse has the highest recommendation rate from its own users. Act-on is chosen quite often by non-tech SMBs. And while SAS is seen as both user-friendly and flexible for enterprise use, HubSpot takes the top honors as the best all-round system for marketing automation.
As VentureBeat reports, when analyzing the more advertising database than 1,000 participant responses, some surprising and unexpected results emerged,
more than half of all companies that already use inbound marketing software use more than one system
Even more surprising, 44 percent use three or more systems
Marketing automation pioneer Marketo was rated as the "least flexible"
Salesforce, which is based on a CRM solution and offers no fewer than three of its own products, does not receive a top ranking for integration with a CRM system.
The only constant is, massive growth
"There is tremendous growth and tremendous opportunity in this market," says study author Wendy Schuchart. "Even after years of 50% growth in this industry, only 3% of all non-technology companies are using marketing automation. This means that there is still a lot of uncertainty among companies about how to proceed."
