Its public service mission (i.e. reaching as many people as possible) and the potential cannibalisation of the market to the detriment of the local press. The BBC must also do more to share its technical and digital expertise for the benefit of local publishers.
Create an innovation fund to improve the provision of information of general interest and managed by an independent body such as an institute for information of public interest.
Establish special taxation for general interest hungary mobile database journalism , such as 0% VAT for online subscriptions or even tax relief for the sector, like the creative industries which already benefit from it.
Directly subsidize local general interest press given the urgent nature of their economic situation.
Create a new regulatory body. the Institute for Public Interest Information . This new administration would allow us to amplify efforts to ensure the future of public interest journalism in a sustainable manner, by working hand in hand with publishers and platforms.
