New version of Google Search Console 2018: what's new

Post by mostakimvip06 »

Following the visual and functional updates of the Analytics and Adwords platforms in recent months, Google has stepped up its game with its essential SEO tool for every website: Google Search Console (previously known as Google Webmaster Tools).

Although certain users have been able to try and play around with the new version for months, it was not until these first weeks of 2018 that Google began sending access to many webmasters to try it out (although still in beta version and with the possibility of returning to the previous version at any time).
What's new in the new version: filters, filters and more filters
When accessing the new version, in addition to the obvious visual re-styling, we can see that the usual menu on the left has been reduced to two elements: Status and Sitemaps . In the latter, all the information related to the website maps that we have sent to the platform will appear, or the possibility of sending a new one.

In the Status section we will find part of the information that was previously new zealand telegram data accessible through the side menu in three large panels: Performance, Index Coverage and Improvements.

In Performance we will find data similar to Search Analytics from the previous version. We will be able to see results based on clicks, impressions, CTR and average position; see data on queries, pages, countries and devices; or segment according to the type of search (web, image and video).

What's new in Google Search Console in 2018

As you can see, one of the most significant new features is the possibility of filtering information based on various criteria . Another of the strong and most anticipated points of this new iteration of Search Console is the extension of the time period for which we have data : up to 16 months . In addition to allowing us to view data for a full year, we can compare the last 4 months with the same period of the previous year.

In addition, if we look at the time graph, we can sometimes see notes integrated into it, which will provide us with data on whether there has been any variation in the tool that may affect the metrics.

In Index Coverage we will have information regarding the indexing status of the different pages of our website; while the Improvements section will serve to reflect the implementation of different features, such as structured data or Rich Snippets .
