The approach to an SEO strategy will never be the same for a new project as for one that has been online for some time. To improve the SEO of an existing website, or to create a new website on a domain that is already online, it is essential to carry out an in-depth SEO audit . And in this post we explain some guidelines that you should always follow:
1.- Content indexing analysis
Using the command in Google for any SEO (site:domain) we can identify the pages of the domain in question that are indexed. And what content they are sending to Google. It is important for this command to work, to write the domain as is, without protocols or www. With this search we will identify if we have more, less or as many URLs as we want to position (comparing with what we are sending to Google through Google Search Console ). The more similar these numbers are, the better. In addition to the volume, it is important to pay attention to what type of content we are indexing.
We should review the results of the first 2-3 pages, identify the pages that have weak content and/or that are not useful for SEO (shopping cart, my account, user profiles, legal notice, cookie policy...) and deindex them, via robots.txt or as you vietnam telegram data prefer. It is important to do this because if we only send quality and original content to Google, our authority will rise.
2.- Review the titles
In titles we are indicating fundamental information to search engines, so it is very important to make good use of them. In this sense, we recommend that you review which titles you are indexing, and what you are transmitting in them. Avoid excessive repetition of the same keywords (we would be facing what we call keyword cannibalization), it is always better to use synonyms and contextual words. And review the texts from a user perspective as well. Review a SERP where one of your results and others from your competition appear, and assess the probability that they will click on your link. The CTR is a value that must be taken into account in SEO.
3.- Audit of descriptions
At this point, the most important thing for us is that all pages have a meta description, that these are unique and original, and that they are human-readable. Read them carefully and think about whether they make sense and are understandable.
4.- Review the URLs
In this section you should take into account what type of characters appear in your indexed URLs, and how they are linked together. It is best to only include words, without special characters, separated by central dashes (avoid underscores), and unnecessary parameters.
