SEO and the long tail

Post by mostakimvip06 »

Many people who have read something about the Long Tail know that it is relevant for the positioning of their website , but they do not fully understand how it works and, above all, they do not fully understand how it affects them . So with today's post we are going to teach you how to take advantage of it for your website and have a great increase in visits to your website from search engines.

What is a Long Tail?
Long tail is a term coined by Chris Anderson in 2004 to adapt the famous Pareto law to the search engine positioning of websites. If we apply Pareto's law in terms of the market, we would come to the conclusion that many companies have a

few star products that get a lot of sales while other products, let's say secondary, that are aimed at market niches have few sales individually, therefore with 20% of the products we get 80% of the sales. Why then make the effort to offer minority products if we can attack the big cake? If a bookstore with 20% of the books generates 80% of its sales, why offer very technical books for a small market niche?

Well, the Long Tail is based on working with more precise keywords so that people who search for those same terms find you much more easily, that is, using more specific keywords and aimed at more specific audiences. An example of greece telegram data this could be that the keywords for an online shoe store could be “men's sneakers”, “cheap shoes in Barcelona” , etc.
The Long Tail applied to SEO
The Long Tail is nothing more than a very faithful representation of people's tastes and interests . And thanks to search engines we know what they are because they are perfectly reflected in the searches that people make on the Internet , since if you search for an object in Google, the autocomplete option helps you to know what consumers are looking for.

At the positioning level, the long tail has a very clear application. It is better to concentrate on positioning a web page for multiple keywords for which we can obtain the first positions in the search engine than to concentrate all our resources on a couple of very competitive keywords. In the long run we will get more visits and better results. And, in addition, it is proven that these words obtain a higher conversion rate .

This strategy is especially beneficial for e-commerce or online stores.
How to identify Long Tail Keywords?
The identification process is quite simple and the only difference will be the tool you use, since the methodology applied will be the same:
Identify keywords using Ahref or SEM Rush
You have to search in these tools for each of the words or phrases that you consider ideal for positioning on your website , and then you write down the possible long tails that you find.
Related Google Searches
These are searches that other users have made on Google based on the word you searched for, and you'll see them appear at the bottom of the results page.
