you should be wondering why you have n’t added a chatbot to your store yet!

“Robots will steal our jobs,” some say. Not really, in fact, they create new ones! As with robots, even for their smaller brothers - yes, we are talking about chatbots - there are several myths that need to be debunked.

1. Chatbots replace human interaction: false
Talking about automation is controversial. We tend, sometimes unconsciously, to be perplexed and distrustful of technology and innovation. Especially when a robot, a bot, a chatbot, must replace what is commonly seen as a human activity.

Don't worry. The time hasn't come when cyborgs take over completely! For now, our harmless (and very useful) chatbot just wants to help you, handle user requests and offer mostly automatic responses.

The goal of the chatbot is in fact to acquire information that will then be useful to the human counterpart, as well as to save the business owner time and money.

2. Chatbots are only for customer support
Nothing could be further from the truth! And if the examples we russia email list gave at the beginning of this article were not enough to convince you, we are here to reiterate the concept.

Sure, one of the most common applications is customer care, but chatbots can have many other goals. They can collect useful information about your website visitors, help you with lead generation, create engagement, and much more.

3. The chatbot only offers pre-set answers: false
Of course not! It is true that there are chatbots that provide users with pre-set answers, but there are much more advanced tools that use machine learning to offer the most real experience possible, understand any errors and self-correct.

The main types of chatbots are:

Chatbots based on “buttons”: they are the most common form, they respond to the user in the form of predefined messages and are unable to create a real interaction. Their main purpose is to entertain the visitor while waiting for an available human operator.
Keyword-based chatbots: This is a more advanced system of artificial intelligence. The chatbot is able to recognize certain keywords entered by the user and offers appropriate responses.
Contextual chatbots: they are the most advanced and evolved form, they combine artificial intelligence with machine learning and allow the user to have a real conversation. Not only that, they improve day after day and interaction after interaction, offering an increasingly higher level of service.
