Find local bloggers and ask them to write

So you can offer them your conference room or your meeting area. They have free Wi-Fi, they have a great big TV that they can connect to and so on. Now, if you don't have a place that you can offer these local groups, then again go to meetup.com or Facebook groups or whatever and look for local groups that are looking for meeting sponsors. Forty, fifty, sixty bucks a month buys their soft drinks and snacks, and killer local connections come your way.

Blogs are great too. about you. Now, obviously, the blog is going to say, "Hey, I was given a free widget for writing about Greg's Widget Company," but who cares? You still get a great link from a local blogger, and even if it seems unrelated to your work, that's okay because that blogger is local.

So whether it's a food blogger or a travel blogger and you give them portugal cell phone number list a free widget to talk about your widget company, it doesn't matter. You still get a great local link. Local business associations, this is a no-brainer. The Better Business Bureau is a wonder. In fact, Google just added a link to the Better Business Bureau in your verification process if you're trying to get reinstated to your Google Business Profile.

But that's a whole Whiteboard Friday episode that we'll cover later. But join all those local business associations. They are not wise. Local business directories may not fit into this, but local business directories are great too. Get involved in all you can. Even though there is a small fee to join this business directory, it still has a really killer list of really relevant local links. Local calendar pages are another thing that many businesses don't really think about.

There are always different websites or organizations in the local area, and often it's the city government site or the local newspaper or TV that only has a community events calendar page and you can't go there if you don't have an event worthy. But if you've got a sales event or a barbecue or something like that, you get a local link back to your site.
