Apple iOS: verify your domain and set up events in just a few steps

Post by nurnobi30 »

In recent weeks, it seems like everything has been revolving around Apple's iOS 14 update. There has been talk about how the new update will affect campaigns , how domains need to be verified in Facebook Business Manager, which events should be prioritized, etc.

The summary of the story is this: the most important change is verifying the domain of your website and determining the events you want to track on the page. Domain verification must be done on all domains on which you have a configured Facebook Pixel and through which you will continue to monitor events .

The deadline for the changes was April 26, but actually starting May 5, 2021, Facebook will show verified domain owners events and custom conversions received from any pixel placed on their website.

While domain owners will see all of these events and conversions, ad optimization and reports will be seen by those who can access them from their own Business Manager account.

How to do domain verification?

You can do it yourself, or you can ask your developer. Just follow the steps below…

Domain verification in Business Manager
Open your Business Manager , unless of course you have it open all day in iran phone number data one of the tabs, and click on Business Settings.

In the left column, click Brand Safety and select Domains .

A list of domains will appear in the middle of the screen, so select the one you want to verify. If there are none, click Add and add the domain.

What does this mean? Facebook has reset us to the initial settings and wants us to tell it that we own the domain so that later, for any additional actions, we don't have a problem with permissions.

There are three ways to verify a domain, choose the one that is easier for you or your developer.

Verification using Meta Tag
Verification using the Meta Tag is the easiest for many . Copy the meta tag and place it in the "head" section of the website.

Once you or a developer has added the tag to the “head” section of the website and verified that it is entered correctly, you return to the Business Manager and click the green Verify button .

For those who have a WordPress site , it is recommended to install the free Insert Headers and Footers plugin.

Verification using an HTML file
If you have decided to verify the domain via an HTML file, then you need to add the HTML file to the root folder.

You can access the root folder through the File Manager directly or through hosting, which you know yourself or your programmer will take care of that part.

Your task is to download the HTML verification file.
