This is a recommended first step in the event of theft. If an attacker has logged into your device, they will likely have access to most or all of your accounts, especially if you use your device's keychain or browser to autofill logins and passwords.

First, change your email password. Your email account is the key to your other accounts, and a criminal can use it to reset your passwords on social media, marketplaces, and apps.

Don't forget to enable two-factor authentication for your account if you haven't already. Also, if your laptop is running Windows and you have security software installed, you can use it to remotely wipe and copy data from the cloud. For such cases, special solution packages have been developed that are phone number list designed to protect personal and corporate data.

Encrypt your data in advance
You can encrypt your hard drive so that no one can access your personal information even if they have physical access to your laptop.

If your computer is running Windows, use BitLocker, which will encrypt your drive. If you are running iOS, use FileVault, which encrypts your data.
