Hosting Third-Party Content
This update addresses the common practice of hosting third-party content on the main domain or subdomain of the website. While some website owners may believe that the ranking ability of the main website may benefit subdomain content, the September 2023 update may have a negative impact on websites that host third-party content. If there is third-party content on the website (reprints, rental channels, etc.), whether on the main domain or subdomain, it may have an impact on the entire website. Therefore, if there is content on the website that you cannot control the quality of, Google recommends prohibiting indexing.

Google now recommends blocking third-party content from being indexed if it is largely irrelevant to the purpose of the main site or was produced without direct supervision.

Updated Self-Assessment Guide
Google's "Useful Content Self-Assessment" guide has been updated bulgaria b2b leads with new recommendations. These changes include an emphasis on the review process, warnings against fake updates to pages, and not adding or removing content just to appear "fresh" in search rankings. "Useful content updates" are site-wide, not just pages with useless (low-quality) content. So if a large percentage of useless pages on your site are detrimental to other pages that are otherwise good quality, it will affect them.

New Internet Spam Policy
Google updates web spam policy again in March 2024

Expired domain abuse occurs when an expired domain is purchased and repurposed for another purpose, primarily to manipulate search rankings by hosting content that provides little or no value to users. For example, a user might purchase a domain previously used by a medical website and then repurpose it to host low-quality casino-related content, hoping to leverage the domain's reputation from the previous owner to achieve success in Google Search.

Abuse of scaled content
Abuse of scaled content occurs when many web pages are generated with the primary purpose of manipulating search rankings rather than helping users. This abuse typically focuses on producing large amounts of unoriginal content that, regardless of how it was produced, provides little or no value to users. This applies whether the content was produced through automation, human intervention, or some combination of human and automated processes.

Abuse of site reputation
Abuse of site reputation occurs when third-party pages are posted with little or no first-party supervision or involvement, with the intent to manipulate search rankings using the first-party site's ranking signals. Such third-party pages include sponsored, advertised, partner, or other third-party pages that are often unrelated to the primary purpose of the hosting site, or were created without close supervision or involvement by the hosting site, and provide little value to users.
