How to turn Google voice search on and off

Post by shukla7789 »

Google's voice search is one of Google's biggest assets for the future. It seems that the giant has decided that in two or three years we won't have to press a single key to use its search engine (I've already talked about the SEO impact of voice search in this blog ).

If you have a smartphone, you can almost certainly use this feature. But if you don't know how to do it, don't worry, below I'll show you how to activate and deactivate Google's voice search.

How to activate Google voice search
To use voice search on Google from a PC, simply add the Voice Search extension to your browser .

Once the extension is installed, a microphone icon will band database in the search box. Just click and speak (Obviously you need a microphone for it to work).

To activate Google voice search from a mobile or tablet, you have to open the Google application. Then, in the menu, go to Settings/Voice/Voice recognition and activate the option Say “Ok Google” at any time.

By doing so, you can activate voice search by saying “OK Google” out loud when you are on any screen.

Another interesting option in voice recognition is being able to unlock the screen just with your voice. I haven't tried it, because it seems a bit like a movie, but they say it works well.

In any case, in the Google application you will always have the microphone icon to be able to perform a voice search.

How to disable Google voice search
Once you know how to enable Google Search on PCs, tablets and mobiles, disabling it is much easier.

On your computer, simply uninstall the Voice Search extension.

For mobile phones and tablets, open the Google app. Then, in the menu, go to Settings/Voice/Voice recognition and deactivate the option Say “Ok Google” at any time.

Do you think voice search is a breakthrough? Do you see yourself using it in your daily life? I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about the topic, so leave your thoughts in the comments.

I WISH you a good day,
