Food Giants: Marketing and Business Lessons

Post by shukla7789 »

Welcome. I don't know if you've watched it. Today I'm going to show you what the History Channel series called The Food That Built America , which tells the story of some of the biggest entrepreneurs in the food industry, has to teach us about marketing and business.

Let's discover together the lessons of these idealizers and achievers who personify the spirit of leadership. Just as Henry Ford revolutionized the automobile industry, they revolutionized the food industry during one of the most turbulent periods in the United States.

You will see how technology was a great ally in the emergence and expansion of these great brands that are still part of the tables of many consumers around the world.

After all, we are talking about the Food Giants, nurse database that are world leaders and that hold a large part of the world's food production.

More than telling the story of entrepreneurs or brands – which the series already does brilliantly – in this post I want to present the successful characteristics that enabled growth on a global scale even in the midst of the most difficult times for the American economy.

Come with me!

WARNING: Contains Spoilers

Maslow's pyramid
The first thing you should know is that in times of crisis, people's priorities change and Maslow's pyramid explains exactly why the food sector grows even in the face of crises. In it, Maslow organizes human needs considering consumption priorities.

You will notice that at the base of the pyramid are our high priority needs, the physiological ones: eating, sleeping, drinking water, breathing .

In extreme moments, such as an economic recession, a period of war or during a pandemic, consumption needs change and we prioritize the base of Maslow's Pyramid .

Therefore, it is plausible that during the US recession, or during World War II, it is the food industries that will experience the greatest growth.
