A couple of days ago I was with my friends at a really nice ice cream shop. We ordered our ice creams and right when they brought us the cups we took a photo that I uploaded a few minutes later to my Instagram.

It wasn't long before I received a rather peculiar comment. The ice cream shop we were in had decided to tell us:

“They look good! ;)

To be honest, the comment was very gratifying for me, because the brand made me feel special by taking the time to reach out to me, even if it was virtually.

After the event, I started to wonder about many things. Firstly, I was kuwait mobile number list curious about why the ice cream shop had taken the time to comment on this particular photo. So, I set out to do some research on the intentions of this brand.

In my search I found that the ice cream shop was clearly doing some kind of campaign in which they wanted my friends and I to start being part of it and also feel comfortable with it being part of us.

Despite the discovery, I continued to ask myself questions and searched for information about why other brands were so determined to do things like the ice cream shop's. And to tell the truth, there are many brands today that try to become true friends of users on social networks.

Now, why Instagram? Isn't it a bit of a complex medium to establish relationships with people?

That's because we're talking about generating contacts through images!

What a crazy thing…

It was for this reason that I re-evaluated my method and established a better search itinerary that I divided up as follows:

- What is the point of communicating with images?

- What is Instagram?

And finally,

- Why would a business be motivated to use Instagram as a communication strategy?
